Hello, I'm Emilee Farnam, a certified labor doula with a bachelor's degree in health education. Alongside my work, I'm a proud mother of three: two through IVF and one foster daughter from Haiti. My husband, children, and I share a love for travel, our church community, outdoor adventures, and all things Disney!
My journey into birth work began in college, where I focused on women's health, including an internship in Kenya where I taught prenatal and postpartum education and provided contraception counseling. After college, I spent five years as an educator at a family planning clinic before heading to Haiti to teach family planning and birth classes. Returning home, I took a brief break to start my own family.
Experiencing my first unmedicated birth with the support of a doula was transformative. I was inspired to deepen my knowledge and became a certified labor doula. I am deeply passionate about supporting pregnant individuals in achieving their ideal birth experiences. I'm excited about the opportunity to work with you!
She completed the rigorous Birth Story Internship and shadowed Heidi for 6 months.
